Keystone features several lines of specialty colorants including its Keyplast™ Granite special effect fibers. These Rayon fibers are designed to give a textured effect to a variety of substrates. They can be used to add a natural or distinctive look to paper stock, add a beautiful textured look to coatings, casting resins, and a variety of plastics, or as a level of security in legal or financial documents. The Keyplast™ Granite fibers are available in a range of colors including the classic Granite MPC Black which has excellent processing characteristics and is safe to use for food contact applications under 21 CFR 178.3297. Keystone has developed a Keyplast™ Granite PLUS, which is a custom line of effect colorants with improved fastness properties. The same Rayon fiber available in its original Keyplast Granite line can now be manufactured with pigments offering improved heat and light stability over any previously colored material available. In addition, many of these colors are also available with food-contact approval. Keystone can provide these fibers in a range of sizes and can also custom match most colors. The Granite Plus line has minimum volume requirements, so please contact your local sales representative for further details.
