Reversacol Photochromics

Reversacol™ Photochromic Dyes

Keystone Aniline Corporation is the exclusive North American distributor for the Reversacol photochromic dyes manufactured by James Robinson Ltd. James Robinson is a world leader in the development of innovative photochromic dyes. These are special dyes that reversibly change color upon exposure to ultraviolet sources, such as sunlight. James Robinson produces a large range of photochromic dyes under the Revrsacol trade name.

The Reversacol photochromic product range currently includes over 20 vibrant colors. There is even a range of unique single molecule gray shades which offer the advantage of achieving a neutral color without the need to mix several dyes.

Photochromic dyes are used in many applications including ophthalmic lenses and sunglasses, security inks and coatings, high-end packaging where counterfeit issues exist, optical switches, mobile phone covers, ski and sportswear, nail varnish and toys.

When correctly formulated, the products colored with Reversacol dyes are colorless until exposed to sufficient UV or sunlight. The Keystone Aniline technical team are expert in the application and formulation of these dyes and welcome any inquiries related to use of photochromic dye.

A technical brochure with more information regarding Reversacols is available upon request.
